The College of Wooster women's tennis team had a rough start to its season Saturday, as Otterbein College swept the Fighting Scots 9-0 at Westerville, Ohio.

Otterbein overwhelmed Wooster in most matches, but Elissa Lauber (2-6, 1-6) and Erin Bauer (1-6, 2-6) both had solid moments in losses at No. 1 and No. 4 singles, respectively. Bauer also teamed with Suzanne Hamby at No. 3 doubles and pushed their opponents to the limits in a disappointing 9-8 (7-4) loss.

The Scots will look to score some individual wins when they host Malone University (0-1) next Saturday at 3 p.m.
