The College of Wooster women's tennis team competed well in several matches against traditional North Coast Athletic Conference power KenyonKenyon College, but ultimately fell to the visiting Ladies 9-0 during Monday afternoon's match-up at D.J. Hard Memorial Courts.
At No. 1 doubles, Elissa Lauber and Kelsey Jenkins of Wooster (4-11, 0-2 NCAC East) won five games before succumbing 8-5, and Kenyon (10-5, 1-0 NCAC East) went on to take a 3-0 lead.
All six singles matches were decided in straight sets, however, Ashley Stockwell and Lauren Grimanis put up strong showings at No. 2 (6-3, 6-2) and No. 6 (7-5, 6-3), respectively.
The Scots will look to bounce back on Thursday when they host Ohio WesleyanOhio Wesleyan University (3-8).
