Highlighted by Ashley Stockwell's win at No. 1 singles, The College of Wooster women's tennis team notched its third-consecutive victory Wednesday, a 6-3 decision over Heidelberg University inside Central Tennis & Fitness Club. Due to weather and limited indoor space, singles matches were played to a ten game pro-set.

Stockwell improved to .500 (4-4) on the year at No. 1 singles with a 10-6 win, which was one of Wooster's four rather decisive triumphs in singles action. At No. 4, Kelsey Jenkins stormed by her opponent 10-1, and No. 5 Boo Flynn didn't give up a point in her 10-0 rout. Also securing a win was No. 6 Lauren Gillis (10-6).

Earlier in doubles action, Stockwell and Jenkins dropped a closely-contested match 8-5, but Wooster won its other two doubles matches to take an early 2-1 lead over Heidelberg. At No.2 doubles, Lauren Grimanis and Suzanne Hamby won 8-2, while Lauren Gillis and Cory Smith moved to 5-0 on the year with an 8-0 victory at the No. 3 spot.

Next up, Wooster (5-3) will play against Ohio Northern University (2 p.m.) and Capital University (4 p.m.) on Saturday, with both matches taking place at Columbus, Ohio.
