Lauren Gilliss secured a point for The College of Wooster, but unfortunately for the Fighting Scots, Allegheny College took the rest for an 8-1 decision in a North Coast Athletic Conference women's tennis tilt Saturday at Oberlin, Ohio. It was the regular season finale for Wooster (7-11, 0-6 NCAC).

Gilliss prevailed in a third-set super tiebreaker by a 10-7 score after extending the No. 6 singles match via a traditional tiebreaker in the second, as she split the first two sets 1-6, 7-6 (7-5). At the fifth position, teammate Suzanne Hamby had a nearly identical score line, except the first two sets and the final result were reversed, with Hamby falling 6-7 (5-7), 6-1, 1-0 (10-7).

Boo Flynn also was involved in a three-set affair at No. 3 singles, suffering a 0-6, 6-0, 6-1 setback, and Lauren Grimanis won seven games in a close loss at No. 4 (7-5, 6-2).

The Scots will take part in the NCAC Tournament this Saturday and Sunday.
