The College of Wooster's No. 1 tennis players, freshman Landon Moore and junior Ashley Stockwell, were selected to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference Team for their respective gender, the NCAC office announced Tuesday. Moore and Stockwell each received honorable mention in singles, and for both, it was their first such postseason recognition.

Playing against some of the best players from across the NCAA Div. III Central Region at the top of the men's lineup, Moore posted three wins this season. He earned a pair of three-set victories, coming against Otterbein University Feb. 16 and Endicott College March 14, and lost a pair of others that went the distance, including against conference foe Wabash College. One of Moore's top results was taking five games from regionally-ranked Denison University's No. 1 (2-6, 3-6).

Stockwell prevailed in five matches atop the ladder for Wooster's womens' squad, while regularly facing stiff competition. During one stretch from March 14-30, she went 4-2 with triumphs against Edgewood College and Stevenson University on the spring break trip and then over regional foes Muskingum University and Heidelberg University. Stockwell, who also picked up five doubles wins, competed against regionally-ranked opponents during four of her last nine matches.

The Fighting Scots' women's tennis team finished in seventh- and the men in eighth-place at the recently completed NCAC Tournaments.
