The College of Wooster women's tennis team got back into the win column Tuesday evening by edging out Malone University 5-4 at the Scot Center.

The Scots (2-4) took a 2-1 lead after doubles competition, as the pairing of Kelsey Jenkins and Rachel Dietz won 8-3 at the No. 2 spot, and Lauren Grimanis and Melanie Chin defeated their opponents 8-4 at No. 3.

Then in singles action, the Scots came up short at No. 1 and No. 2, but showed their depth with victories at the 3, 4, and 5 spots in the lineup. Boo Flynn (6-2, 6-1) and Grimanis (6-3, 6-0) won rather decisively, while Emily Linville battled to a 7-5, 6-3 decision.

Wooster will be off this week as it prepares for its annual spring break trip to Hilton Head, S.C., which will consist of seven matches between March 11-20.
