Shannon Sertz

Senior Shannon Sertz (Fairview, Pa.) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week.

Sertz guided the Scots in their lone match last week, a 5-4 win at Kalamazoo College.

First, she teamed with Laura Haley for an 8-4 win in the No. 2 doubles flight. Sertz then fought back in the No. 3 singles flight to win in three sets 1-6, 6-1, 6-2.

Sertz is 5-1 in singles play this year and 6-2 in doubles matches.

Wooster returns to action Friday when they host Denison University at the Aspen Racquet Club.
