Otilia Oita

The College of Wooster's Otilia Oita earned honorable mention All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors in singles play, as announced by the league office on Friday.

Oita, who held down the No. 1 flight the entire spring for the Fighting Scots' women's tennis team, consistently went up against some of the elite talent within the NCAA Div. III Central and Atlantic South Regions. Six of Wooster's 10 matches were against teams in the NCAA Div. III Championships field, while an additional match came against a team ranked in the NCAA Div. III Central Region rankings.

Oita's rookie campaign was headlined by a 6-2, 6-2 win over Ohio Wesleyan University's Katie Lee on April 25. Wooster won that match 9-0 to cap its season on a high note.

Notable, Oita is the program's first first-year to earn all-conference honors since current senior Sarah Duran in 2018.
