NCAC Release

First-year Janaki Jagannathan was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year and joined classmate Cherry Patlolla and sophomore Otilia Oita on being named All-NCAC.

Jagannathan went 19-5 in singles matches, including an 18-3 mark in dual matches. She and Oita earned second team singles honors and teamed together to earn first-team doubles honors.

Jagaannthan's 19 wins tied her second for wins all-time in program history. She went 16-3 in the No. 3 flight, which was a win shy of tying the program record for most wins in that flight in a single season.

Jagannathan and Oita went 11-6 in dual matches, including an 8-5 mark in the No. 1 flight. In singles play, Oita went 10-16 this year with an 8-12 mark in the No. 1 flight.

Patlolla earned an honorable mention in singles with a 10-12 dual match record and an 8-10 record in the No. 2 flight.

This is the fifth time Wooster has claimed the newcomer of the year, the last being Qingyue Li in 2017. The Scots finished 11-10 on the year.
