Smith, Jagannathan Collect Wins at Wooster Invite
Scots host event on new tennis courts
The College of Wooster women's tennis team hosted the Wooster Invitational on Saturday welcoming John Carroll University and Oberlin College to the program's new tennis courts.
Three Scots participated in the event – senior Janaki Jagannathan and sophomore Mia Smith and first-year Elyse Errington.
Jagannathan and Smith each captured a singles win.
Jagannathan defeated John Carroll's Madi Davila 8-2. Smith captured her first collegiate win in one of the best matches of the day, defeating Oberlin's Robyn Gurujal 8-7 (6).
Overall, the Scots competed in nine matches, going 2-4 in singles play and 0-3 in doubles action.
Wooster will next compete at the ITA Regional Championships hosted by Kalamazoo College from Sept. 27-29.
