The College of Wooster women's tennis team celebrated its two seniors on senior day but fell on the wrong side of a 7-0 result to DePauw University on Sunday.
Senior Janaki Jagannathan had one of the tougher and longer matches of the day as her No. 1 singles match was the last to finish. However, she fell 6-2, 7-5.
Two matches went the way of 6-1, 6-1 – No. 3 singles with Jade Adkins and No. 6 singles with Willow Hernishin.
Elyse Errington at No. 2 singles, Kamilla Kadirova at No. 4 and Mia Smith at No. 6 went the way of a 6-0, 6-0 result.
In doubles play each team lost their match 6-1. Jagannathan and Errington teamed at No. 1, Adkins and Kadriova teamed at No. 2 and Hernishin and senior Sarah Mashaal teamed at No. 3.
Wooster moves to 5-9 overall and 1-3 in the North Coast Athletic Conference. The Scots host Kenyon in their home finale on Friday.
