Scots Top NCAC Foe Allegheny in Four Sets

<a href= The College of Wooster volleyball team notched its third consecutive North Coast Athletic Conference win Wednesday evening, as it put together a well-balanced effort to get past Allegheny College in four sets (21-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-23) at Meadville, Pa.

Erin Webster (12 kills) and Paige Parker (11 kills) led the way, as the Fighting Scots (14-10, 5-2 NCAC) overcame a loss in the opening set to take the next three in a row. Wooster actually led Allegheny (7-18, 3-5 NCAC) 10-6 in the first set, before letting the lead slip away, but it looked rather decisive from that point on.

Chipping in with a solid statistical line was Zoe Zwegat, who recorded 10 kills and seven total blocks, while Melissa Morgan and Meredith Kiefer each added three blocks apiece. Setters Lizzi Beal (27 assists) and Autumn Berry (15 assists) took turns quarterbacking the offense.

The Scots will compete in the second and final NCAC Play Date this weekend at Oberlin, Ohio, starting with a rematch against Allegheny at 1:30 p.m.
