WOOSTER, Ohio –The College of Wooster volleyball team made it a perfect sweep at the North Coast Athletic Conference Weekend, blasting Ohio Wesleyan University by set scores of 25-12, 25-14, and 25-12 Sunday afternoon at Timken Gymnasium.

Over the weekend, the Scots (19-7, 9-4 NCAC) won all four of their matches by 3-0 decisions, and this tilt with the Battling Bishops (2-24, 1-10 NCAC) was clearly their most decisive.

In the first set, Devin Grandi helped turn a slight 14-11 Wooster advantage into a 21-11 run away by serving seven straight points. Lizzi Beal and Zoe Zwegat recorded the final two points of the set by going in on back-to-back blocks.

The second and third sets also saw Wooster race out to big leads, allowing freshmen Rachel Sell, Skye Patterson, Maddie Flynn, and Heidi Strike to make some key contributions in extended minutes.

Overall, Wooster logged its second-highest hitting percentage of the season (.319), which came from 35 kills and just five errors on 94 swings. Melissa Morgan (8 kills), Paige Parker (5 kills), and Catherine Benton (5 kills) didn't record a single error in the match.

Beal and Zwegat each had five block assists, and Kelley Johnson led the team with 11 digs.

Next, the Scots will host Hiram College Saturday at 1 p.m.
