WOOSTER, Ohio – Ohio Wesleyan University gave The College of Wooster some resistance during stretches, but The Fighting Scots picked up their 20th win of the season during "Senior Night," which honored Margaret Raabe, Sarah Hawke, and Lizzi Beal, with a 25-20, 25-19, 25-11 sweep over the Battling Bishops in a North Coast Athletic Conference volleyball match Friday evening at Timken Gymnasium.

It was the senior class that powered the Scots (20-8, 10-5 NCAC) over the Bishops (2-28, 1-14 NCAC) in this one, and most noteworthy, Sarah Hawke had her best match of the season, as she recorded a .400 hitting percentage with nine kills and just one error on 20 swings. She also had two block solos and three block assists, pushing her career blocks total to 220, which is seventh all-time at Wooster.

Beal quarterbacked the offense by dishing out 24 assists, increasing her career total to 3,424, which locks her into second place in the school record books. She also delivered five service aces, leaving her just four aces shy of the Scots' all-time record.

Lastly, Raabe was solid in her defensive specialist role, as she recorded a season-high nine digs.

Others chipping in on the stat sheet were Kelley Johnson with 24 digs, while Zoe Zwegat (8 kills), Erica Skillman (7 kills), Paige Parker (7 kills), and Melissa Morgan (6 kills) helped keep the Scots' offense out in front.

The Scots have now reached the 20-win plateau in three of the last four seasons.

Next up, Wooster will play a pair of non-conference matches against Bluffton University and Franklin University tomorrow afternoon at Bluffton, Ohio.
