The College of Wooster volleyball team wrapped up the non-conference portion of its schedule by topping Franklin College 3-0, and then dropping its second match to Bluffton University 3-1 Saturday afternoon at Bluffton, Ohio.

The Scots (21-8) got past Franklin 25-16, 25-10, 25-22, thanks in large part to Paige Parker, who tied a season-high with 14 kills and recorded a .500 hitting percentage. Melissa Morgan was productive in totaling seven kills and 15 digs, while Lizzi Beal (5 kills, 15 assists) and Autumn Berry (19 assists) also were key offensively. Kelley Johnson led the back row with 19 digs.

Then against Bluffton, the Scots fell by set scores of 16-25, 25-23, 20-25, and 12-25. Sarah Hawke led the way with 12 kills and just three errors on 21 swings (.429 hitting percentage), and Beal was right behind her with nine kills and 22 assists. Johnson totaled a match-high 25 digs.

The Scots will wrap up their regular season with a match against Oberlin College Tuesday at 7 p.m.
