It was an off night for The College of Wooster volleyball team, as Denison University picked up a straight-set victory over the Fighting Scots in a North Coast Athletic Conference match-up at Granville, Ohio.

The difference was on offense, where the Big Red (11-12, 3-4 NCAC) nearly doubled the Scots (7-16, 1-4 NCAC) in kills, 36 to 19. On a high note, Wooster's attack was balanced, with eight different players recording a kill, including Megan Mey (5), Lydia Webster (4), and Savannah Moore (3).

Defensively, Anna Emmick had a hand in a match-high five blocks (1 solo, 4 assists), helping the Scots edge Denison in that category. Rachel Sell paced the team with 13 digs, while Sydney Virgin chipped in nine digs to compliment her 14 assists.

Wooster, which had won two in a row prior to tonight's setback, will look to get back in the win column Friday evening at Ohio Wesleyan University (14-9, 3-3 NCAC). The match starts at 7 p.m.
