AVCA Team Academic Award Release
The College of Wooster's volleyball team was among the 1,275 teams on the United States Marine Corps/American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award list, which was announced by the AVCA on Monday.
The award, which started with the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long GPA of at least 3.30. This is Wooster's 13th time earning the AVCA's Team Academic Award in the last 15 seasons. The Fighting Scots logged a collective 3.66 GPA.
Earlier this summer, junior Katie Billetdeaux, senior Meghan Botsch, senior Bradlee Hartman, sophomore Hayley Nash, junior Brooke Swain, and sophomore Maley Tinstman qualified for the North Coast Athletic Conference's Academic Honor Roll. Two Scots posted a perfect 4.0 GPA for the 2020-21 academic year, while six had at least a 3.9.
Of note, once again all nine NCAC institutions appeared on this year's AVCA Team Academic Award list.
