Nash Named to NCAC 40th Anniversary All-Decade Team

Hayley Nash, Wooster Volleyball Hayley Nash, who made program history several times, is part of the North Coast Athletic Conference's 40th Anniversary All-Decade Team, which was announced by the conference office on Friday.

As a senior, Nash became Wooster's first three-time first-team All-NCAC volleyball selection. She finished her Wooster career fifth in school history with 1,020 kills and 3,029 attack attempts, while also graduating third all-time with 3.46 kills per set and fifth with 0.36 service aces per set. As a senior, Nash was the team leader and fourth within the NCAC with 248 kills and 2.99 kills per set. Nash recorded kill 1,000 in a straight set win over Oberlin College, tied the program record with nine service aces in a four-set win over St. Mary's College (Indiana) in mid-October, and tied for second in school history with eight aces in a 3-1 win over Kenyon College, also in October.

A year prior, Nash became the program's first repeat first-team All-NCAC honoree since 2009. She was tops in the NCAC with 432 kills and 4.08 kills per set. Nash became the first Scot to have 300 kills in consecutive seasons since All-American KateLynn Riley in 2008 and 2009, and just one of two to so during the current scoring era. Nash's 20 kills in a NCAC Tournament semifinal victory over Denison University helped the program to its first NCAC Tournament title match appearance since 1985.

As a first-year, Nash became the first rookie in program history to earn first-team All-NCAC laurels. Nash led the team with 300 kills, which was the sixth-best in program history for a single season. Nash reached double-digits in kills 19 times as a first year and digs 16 times.

During a COVID-shortened 2020-21 season, Nash led the team with 40 kills over 15 sets.

Academically, the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® selection as a senior was a three-time NCAC Academic Honor Roll qualifier.

A NCAC Player of the Year honor, a NCAC Libero of the Year honor, or at least three first-team All-NCAC selections between 2013 and 2022 were the eligibility requirements for the NCAC 40th Anniversary All-Decade Team.
