Q: Why did you choose to attend The College of Wooster?
A: I loved how close it was to home and how welcoming everyone was on my visit.
Q: What does being a Fighting Scot student-athlete mean to you?
A: It means working hard both on and off the court to represent the name we wear on our jerseys the best we can.
Q: What are some of your favorite memories as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: One of my favorite memories is making it to the conference tournament championship match in volleyball as a first-year. Another one is my teammates and I traveled to Wabash College to cheer on the men's basketball team in the conference tournament.
Q: What is the best part about being a student-athlete at The College of Wooster?
A: The best part is receiving all of the love and support from the other athletes and our professors.
Q: Which College of Wooster faculty or staff member has made the greatest impact on you and why?
A: Our athletic trainer, Tayla Thome. I had some big injuries the last two seasons and she has made it possible for me to still be able to play in every match. I would not be as healthy or physically strong as I am without her.
Q: What other people or resources impacted your Wooster experience in a positive way and how did these people and resources set you up to be successful at Wooster?
A: My coaches have been super impactful with helping me grow as a person and working through adversity. I feel a lot more confident in handling challenging situations and that will be beneficial in the long run because life is always throwing curveballs.
Q: Tell us a bit about your Independent Study project?
A: I am looking at athletes who are injured or have been injured and seeing if making art or journaling about their experience can help overcome any past or current trauma or mental health issues they could be facing.
Q: Tell us a bit about something cool you did as a student at The College of Wooster?
A: Our volleyball team traveled international to South Africa in 2024. We played three matches, service the local community by preparing meals, hiked a mountain trail, and went on a safari. It was an awesome experience and memories I'll cherish with my team forever.
Q: Reflecting back on your time at Wooster, what advice would you give your first-year self?
A: Be in the moment and just enjoy it because it goes by quick.
