Hallie Taylor joined The College of Wooster volleyball staff as an assistant coach ahead of the 2024 season.

Taylor is rejoining the coaching ranks with the appointment as she spent two years in a variety of roles with Victory Church. Prior to that, Taylor was the director of volleyball operations for Syracuse University from 2016-19. As director of operations, Taylor planned and organized all travel itineraries and coordinated team schedules and assisted the team in the areas of self-care and team bonding.

Taylor brings international experience to the program, having partnered with local schools throughout Europe to offer sport and character training in the mid-to-late 2010s. She planned conference logistics for foreign attendees, gained volunteer experience in conference setup and plan implementation, and coached and played with an international volleyball team. She interned at Maltese Olympic Committee, where she researched and gathered data for special projects relating to growing sports in Malta.

As a collegiate athlete, Taylor played at both Syracuse and the University of North Carolina at Asheville. At UNC Asheville, Taylor passed out the second-most assists in a season and had the top mark upon graduation with 9.43 assist per set, which came in the 2011 season.

Taylor graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish from UNC Asheville and a master’s in school counseling from Syracuse. She is married to Austin Taylor, a 2006 Wooster alumnus who was a member of the lacrosse team.
