Competing in the Great Lakes Colleges Association Championship Saturday hosted Kenyon College, College of Wooster sophomore Terry Workman paced the Scots effort with a fifth-place showing on the men’s side. Workman’s finish lifted the Scots to a seventh-place finish.

Denison University placed second with 70 points, Oberlin College was third with 83 points, Albion College was fourth with 97 points, and Kenyon placed fifth with 121 points as Wooster finished seventh with 137 points in a field of nine teams.

On the women’s side, the 5,000-meter race that encircled Kenyon's athletics practice fields was won by Oberlin College, a team that also won last year's championship. Ohio Wesleyan University was not far behind. The Battling Bishops tallied 50 points and placed second. Kenyon and Denison University both held down the next spots with 89 points apiece and Albion College was fifth with 122 points. Wooster finished sixth with 164 team points.

Freshman Suzanne Capehart continued to lead Wooster to the line for the second-straight week. Capehart clocked in at 19:57.3 for a 12th-place showing as Denison's Brooke Boening took the individual honors in 19:17.1.
