Nine runners from The College of Wooster finished among the top-100 in Div. III in their respective races, highlighted by three women inside the top-50, at the All-Ohio Intercollegiate Cross Country Championships on Friday, an annual meet that includes runners from NCA A Div. I, II, and III schools as well as NAIA institutions from across Ohio. The women finished 11th of 19 in Div. III, and 25th of 39 overall, while the men were 15th of 20 and 29th overall.

The women had three top-50 Div. III finishers, led by Meredith Shaul's 24th-place finish (19:15.6). Shaul's time was also good enough to rank inside the top-100 (93rd) out of the 285 total runners competing in all divisions. Sarah Appleton (19:26.1) and Erin Plews-Ogan (19:39.3) were just a few strides behind, earning 34th and 41st-place honors. Rounding out Wooster's scorers was Alyssa Getta (20:23.6), who took 79th-place, and Colleen O'Neil (20:51.3), who finished 90th.

On the men's side, Luke Hutchings-Goetz turned in Wooster best time with a 55th-place (27:10.09) showing in Div. III and 142nd of 266 among competitors in all divisions. Three other Scots finished among the top-100 in Div. III, including Jay Marshall (27:48.8) and Micah Caunter (27:49.7), who ran together to claim 72nd and 73rd, respectively. Morgan Clark was the next to cross in 28:42.6, good for 95th-place, while Kevin DeGroot also scored with his time of 29:36.6, or 111th-place.

Next on the schedule is the Fighting Scots Festival, which is hosted by Wooster on Oct. 22.
