Returning starter at second base who may shift to shortstop this season … A slick fielder who can do a variety of things with the bat (bunt, hit-and-run, etc.) and one of the team leaders, according to the coaching staff.
2015: Started at second base 36 games and shortstop eight, compiling a sparkling .986 fielding percentage with just three errors in 207 chances … Helped turn 33 double plays … Also finished sixth on the team in batting average at .345 … Doubled seven times, tripled once, and homered once, and drove in 28 runs while scoring 43 … Added 26 walks as part of a .456 on-base percentage and seven stolen bases … Had three hits and four RBI during 12 at bats at the NCAC Tournament (May 7-8), with three RBI in one game equaling a season high … First career home run came against Wabash (May 2) in NCAC Cross-Over Series … Also had a three-hit game that series – one of five on the season … Went 3-for-5 with three runs scored during win over regional rival Marietta (April 1).
2014: Saw regular action (30 games played), routinely coming in as a defensive replacement at second base, third base, and shortstop … Hit .290 (9-for-30) with one double and five RBI in limited chances at the plate … Stole two bases and scored seven runs … Defensive sub in all four NCAC Tournament games … Had pair of two-hit games, going 2-for-3 against Allegheny (April 26) and 2-for-4 at Muskingum (April 21).
2013: Played 18 times as a freshman, frequently a defensive replacement late in games … Accounted himself well at the plate when given the chance, batting .333 (4-for-12) with four RBI … Appeared in NCAA Div. III Championship once, recording two assists vs. Thomas More (May 15) … Saw spot duty during the NCAC tourney, driving in one run.
Prior to Wooster: Two-time award winner on the All-Southwest Conference Team at Midpark High School … Helped the Meteors to a 19-8 record, the most wins in school history, and a district championship in 2011 when he batted .360 with 32 RBI … Upped his average to .400 as a senior … Also lettered twice in basketball.
