Nikolas Dean

Nikolas Dean, who was part of a national championship staff at the University of Georgia, joined The College of Wooster football staff in February 2024. Dean will work with the Fighting Scots’ defensive line and assist with recruiting.

Dean arrives following a two-season stint at Louisburg College, a junior college in North Carolina. There, he served as linebackers and strength and conditioning coach. Signature highlights included being part of one of the top-ranked defenses in non-scholarship junior college football, setting the National Junior College Athletic Association sack record, and developing a junior college All-American.

At Georgia, Dean was a recruiting and player personnel analyst on the Bulldogs’ 2022 national championship staff. He created and implemented comparison analysis reports to enhance recruiting tactics and was responsible for identifying potential targets in the transfer portal. Dean’s coaching career started at Iowa Wesleyan University, where he coached running backs.

Dean attended the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and was a tight end in the program. He has a bachelor's degree in exercise science and a master's in management with an athletic administration concentration.

Of note, Dean's brother, Nakobe, was the 2021 Butkus Award winner, given to the nation's top linebacker. Nakobe played college football at Georgia and was a third-round selection in the 2022 NFL Draft.
