This Week's Outlook: The College of Wooster hosts the 2019 North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday and Saturday. Friday's field events start at noon, while running events start at 4 p.m. On Saturday, fielding events start at 10 a.m. while running events kick off at 2:15 p.m. The awards ceremony will take place at approximately 5:35 p.m.

Ticket Information: All-Session Passes are $10 for adults. One-day admission for adults is $5 and for those 18 and younger is $3. NCAC students with a valid student ID card will be admitted free of charge.
Last Time Out: Senior Carolyn Webster won the NCAC pentathlon for the second time in her career, while classmate Jordan Dennis broke the school heptathlon record at the league's indoor multi-event championships at Kenyon College. Webster scored 3,229 points, while Dennis's new school record is set at 4,041 points.
Last Year's 2018 NCAC Indoor Championships: The women finished fifth of eight teams, while the men finished eighth of nine. Senior Jack Petrecca was the lone male to earn All-NCAC honors after a second-place finish in the high jump, which he cleared at 6 feet, 5 inches. Webster earned All-NCAC recognition in the pentathlon, long jump and high jump, and the 4x400 relay team ran a 4:14.68 for third.
Pre-Championship Poll: Wabash College (79) was selected as the men's favorite, collecting seven of the nine first-place votes from the coaches. Oberlin (61) was chosen as the women's favorite with five first-place votes. Wooster was voted in at fourth in both polls.
Field Events: Webster will be one to watch in her senior season as she tries to repeat All-NCAC performances in the long and high jumps. Her season-high long jump sits at 5.44m and her season-high high jump is at 1.59m. She is seeded second in the long jump, and Akwia Tilton enters seeded fifth at 5.15m. First-year Claudia Partridge has been right with Webster in the high jump with a season-best clear of 1.57m, which placed her fourth in the All-Ohio Indoor Championships. Webster and Partridge are seeded third and fourth, respectively, entering the weekend. First-year Saralee Renick takes the best triple jump (10.37m) into the meet for the Scots and has a seeding of fourth. Georgia Hopps-Weber (3.10m) leads the women in the pole vault and is seeded eighth. She had her best showing last time out and collected two firsts in January. Christine Weber is the top shot putter (10.28m) and weight thrower (10.88m).
For the men, Petrecca will look to mimic last year's performance into another All-NCAC showing. Already with All-Ohio honors to his name, his top high jump of 1.95m places him second in the seeding. The top three are separated by just .02m. Kristian Coleman has the best long jump (6.21m) and triple jump (13.34m) for the Scots. He posted his best triple jump in the Scots' last full-team meet and earned first place. He is seeded third in the event. Spencer Wilson leads the way for the Scots in the shot put (13.62m) and weight throw (15.20m). He broke the school record earlier this year in the weight throw and will enter the meet seeded sixth.
Sprints/Hurdles/Relays: The men's distance medley relay team of Aedan Pettit, Matt Olszewski, Matt Klonowski and Brian Lief enter with the top time of 10:40.85. They will have to hold back a Wabash squad who enters with a top time of 10:53.63. Dennis will look to carry the momentum from his heptathlon record into the 60-meter hurdles where he is seeded eighth.
First-year William McMichael will look to shed a second off his 51.46 time for a chance to take the 400 dash. He is currently seeded fourth. Classmate Kristian Coleman takes his team-best time of 7.23 seconds into the 60-meter dash.
Webster is the top-ranked senior in the 60-meter hurdles but is seeded fifth. First-year Maya Vasta will look to continue a solid indoor season as she is ranked third in the 400 dash (1:03.08) and sixth in the 200 dash (27.39). Junior Korri Palmer is seeded eighth in the 60 dash (8.31) and 10th in the 200 (28.16). The 4x200 relay team of Palmer, Vasta, Partridge and Tilton is ranked second at 1:52.90. The distance medley relay team of Cobi Warstler, Audrey Cordova, Jena Copley and Marian Overfield is seeded third at 13:10.37.
Middle Distance: Lief leads the men with a 4:23.95 in the mile run. That mark earned him All-Ohio honors earlier this year. Klonowski has a 1:59.83 time in the 800 meters for the best time this season for the men, which he ran at the All-Ohio Indoor Championships. He is seeded third.
For the women, Zoe Covey and Emani Kelley will particiate in the 800, and Warstler and Rachel Osterhouse will compete in the mile.
Distance: David Westcott posted a school record of 15:05.62 in the 5,000-meter run, which earned him All-Ohio honors. He and Jackson Feinknopf are separated by about six seconds in the 3,000 run. The two join three other NCAC seniors in the top five of the heat. Hoover will look to improve upon her best time of 18:31.98 from earlier this year in the 5,000. She enters second in the race but trails Allegheny's Sarah Hevener's best time by about 30 seconds. She's also the top Scot in the 3,000 run with a time of 10:39.85.
