USTFCCCA All-Region Release

The College of Wooster's men's track and field team earned four All-Great Lakes Region honors for the indoor season, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

First-year sensation King Jeju scored three of Wooster's four all-region honors. The NCAA Div. III Championships long jump qualifier broke the program's 32-year-old record in his collegiate debut, reaching 24 feet, 1 inch. Jeju, seeded fifth in the long jump at this week's NCAA Div. III Championships, went on to earn North Coast Athletic Conference Field Athlete and Newcomer of the Year awards at the conference championships after winning the long jump (23 feet, 7.25 inches) and 200 meters (22.28), and finishing within the top-three in the triple jump (44 feet, 11.75 inches) and 60-meter dash (6.94). Jeju's other all-region honors came in the triple jump (45 feet, 5.75 inches) and the 60-meter dash (6.85), with both of those top efforts marking school records. Jeju was the All-Ohio champion in the long jump, 60-meter dash, and 200 meters this winter and was the runner-up in the triple jump.

Senior Dylan Garretson collected the fourth All-Great Lakes Region honor in the pole vault. The five-time national qualifier is seeded third at this year's championships, thanks to a school record clearance of 16 feet, 7.5 inches at the University of Akron Invitational on Feb. 2. The program's first indoor All-American is a six-time all-region performer and has won the NCAC pole vault title each time it has been contested during his collegiate career. He has won the pole vault at 37 meets as a Fighting Scot.

USTFCCCA All-Region honors are awarded to those who have a top-five individual or top-three relay performance within the region and whose coach is a member of the coaching organization.
