Prior to Wooster: Two-time All-Ohio performer while prepping at Newcomerstown High School … OHSAA Div. III state runner-up in the pole vault as a sophomore after clearing 15 feet … Cleared 14 feet, 4 inches at the state championships as a junior, which was good for a third-place finish … Four-year letterwinner in cross country and track & field while prepping for father, Trevor Garretson, and Jamie Lewis …

Personal: Parents are Trevor and Beth ’97 Garretson … Music education major … Member of the Scot Marching Band, Symphonic Band, Mercury Brass Band, Jazz Band, and Concert Band … Serves in the Ohio National Guard as is part of the 122nd Ohio Army National Guard Band … Was on active duty in January 2022 providing hospital relief during COVID and broke the indoor pole vault record for the first time on the same day the hospital relief mission concluded.
