The College of Wooster competed for state pride on Friday afternoon, and the Fighting Scots placed 12th on the men's side and 13th in the women's race at the annual All-Ohio Championships held at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course in Cedarville, Ohio.

The meet brings together harriers from nearly every collegiate program in the Buckeye State, with student-athletes from all three NCAC divisions plus NAIA and junior colleges running at the same time.

Across all divisions, Wooster finished 29th of 42 scoring teams overall on the men's side, while the Scots' women were 30th of 43 scoring team.

Senior Kayla Zboran turned in Wooster's highest individual finish of the afternoon navigating the 6K course in 23:44.3 to place 26th in Div. III and 88th overall in an all-divisions field that consisted of nearly 300 competitors.

In a close pack were teammates Mackenzie Kellar, Cobi Warstler, Collier Summay, and Ashley Ferguson as they came in 64th (24:58.4), 74th (25:17.8), 75th (25:28.8), and 81st (25:34.4) within Div. III respectively.

Seniors Emily Reid and Jacquelyn White also earned the start in the championship race and they placed 86th (25:44.6) and 103rd (26:41.5) among Div. III competitors.

In the men's 8K race, senior Blake Pecoraro led with way for the Scots with a 49th-place clip of 27:51.3.

Not far behind were sophomores Brian Lief and Jackson Feinknopf, who placed 56th and 59th among Div. III competitors at 28:13.5 and 28:19.6 respectively.

Wooster's senior class rounded out the scoring runners in Jason Solinsky and Herbert Sizek. The duo placed in the top-75 of Div. III runners and crossed at 28:49.5 and 29:03.6.

Junior Geoffrey Carney-Knisely (29:15.8) and first-year Aedan Pettit (30:57.8) rounded out the seven competitors in the championship race.

Wooster will be back in action at the #JennaStrong Fall Classic, hosted by Wilmington College on Oct. 14.
