Has an opportunity for a bigger role as a senior, having been moved to the back end of the defense where 6-3 length could make it difficult on opposing quarterbacks.
2014: Continued to develop at both defensive back and on special teams, appearing in nine games as a junior … Made six tackles … Credited with a pair of stops at Denison (Oct. 25) and Ohio Wesleyan (Nov. 15), and both of his pass breakups on the season came against Allegheny (Oct. 11).
2013: Showed improvement as a member of the defensive backfield and special teams contributor … Had six tackles, highlighted by three-yard loss on a fake punt attempt by Ohio Wesleyan (Nov. 16) that spurred Scots to 28-27 comeback victory (Wooster had been down 27-7 at the time) … Season-high two tackles came against Washington & Jefferson (Sept. 7) and at DePauw (Nov. 2).
2012: Credited with a tackle in lone game played as a freshman.
Prior to Wooster: Selected all-state and team defensive MVP as a senior at Weston High School … Received all-conference honors twice … Three-year letterwinner in football with the Trojans, and once in basketball and track.
Personal: Born July 3, 1994 … Son of Mark and Heidi Keeney … Majoring in economics.
