Hoping to bounce back from an injury-shortened 2014 and be a key part of the secondary again … Team captain.
2014: One of the team’s top strong safety’s suffered a season-ending knee injury early in the second game of the season … Showed good potential prior to that, turning in eight tackles with six coming in the opener at Washington & Jefferson (Sept. 6).
2013: Integral member of the defense as well as special teams’ coverage units, finishing sixth on the team in tackles with 53 … Played a strong safety position in Wooster’s new 4-2-5 alignment … Had five or more tackles in eight games, including eight apiece in back-to-back weeks at rival Wittenberg (Oct. 19) and against Denison (Oct. 26) … One of his two sacks came in the latter game, while pass breakup was during finale against Ohio Wesleyan (Nov. 16).
2012: Saw time in all 10 games in various defensive packages and as a special teams standout … Tied for ninth on the team in tackles (30) and his two fumble recoveries led the way … Contributed four pass breakups, tying for second on the team in that category … Closed year with 10 tackles at Ohio Wesleyan (Nov. 10), where he also forced and recovered a fumble during kickoff coverage … Picked up a blocked punt and returned it 18 yards for a touchdown against Kenyon (Nov. 3) … Another fumble recovery came during punt coverage against Hiram (Oct. 13).
Prior to Wooster: Three-time selection on the All-Mid-Buckeye Conference Team, including first-team accolades as a senior at Loudonville High School … Totaled 270 tackles, 20 pass breakups, and five interceptions with the Redbirds … Lettered three times in football and six in track (two indoor, four outdoor).
