2013: Entered two varsity games as a freshman, the opener against Washington & Jefferson (Sept. 7) and the “Old Red Lantern” victory over Denison (Oct. 26) … Worked his way up depth chart to No. 2 left guard.

Prior to Wooster: Twice a special mention on the All-Ohio Team (Division VI) as an offensive lineman at Malvern High School … Also a two-time all-district and all-conference pick, including first-team recognition senior year when he played with a torn ACL and bone chip in tibia … Lettered three times in both football and track & field with the Hornets.

Personal: Born Nov. 2, 1994 … Son of Mark and Margaret Merritt … Majoring in geology.
