CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Sophomore Isabelle Hoover's All-Ohio run headlined The College of Wooster cross country team's performances at Saturday's All-Ohio Championships, which were held at Cedarville University's Elvin R. King Cross Country Course. Wooster's women finished eighth among NCAA Div. III programs and 19th overall, while the men were the 17th-place Div. III team and the 34th-place team overall.

Hoover covered the 6,000 meters course in 23:41.8, and her time was sixth among Div. III harriers and 44th overall. Sophomore Kayla Bertholf was next in 81st-place at 24:20.4, but it was her standing among Div. III competitors that stood out. There, Bertholf ranked 25th, five spots out of an All-Ohio placement for the division.

Senior Audrey Cordova crossed in 164th-place at 26:04.2, while junior Zoe Covey finished 16 spots back at 26:35.9. First-year Kate Larson rounded out the top-five with a 27:15.1, which was good for 195th-place.

Sophomore Alexander DeLong's breakthrough performance led the way for Wooster's men. The biology and molecular biology major finished at 29:27.5, which was the 193rd-place time. Junior Jackson Todd wasn't far behind, as he crossed at 29:31.0, and was five spots back of DeLong.

Senior Aedan Pettit finished third among Wooster's nine-harrier contingent. Pettit navigated the 8,000 meters course in 30:20.8, and placed 229th. Sophomore Grant Sprague and senior Miki Rae finished back-to-back in the standings at 234th-place and 235th-place, respectively, and both finished in under 30:40.

Otterbein University was the top Div. III men's team, while Oberlin College claimed the Div. III women's crown.

Wooster returns to the course at Wilmington College's Jenna Strong Fall Classic, which is scheduled for Friday, October 11.
