Drushal, Riley First Scots Ever Named to AVCA All-Region TeamNovember 13, 2008Ali Drushal and KateLynn Riley became the first from The College of Wooster volleyball program to be selected to the All-Great Lakes Region Team. The AVCAs all-region awards were established in 1996 and by being part of the 14-member team, Drushal and Riley are now eligible for the All-America Team.

Scots Win Three Individual Awards, Four on All-NCAC TeamsNovember 08, 2008Wooster collected three of the North Coast Athletic Conferences four individual awards, highlighted by senior Ali Drushal being named the NCAC Libero of the Year for the third-consecutive season as announced by league officials. Joining Drushal on the all-league first team was junior middle hitter KateLynn Riley, while senior outside hitter Megan Earle was tabbed an all-NCAC honorable mention recipient.

Terriers End Scots Season In NCAC Tourney SemifinalsNovember 07, 2008Winners of 10 of its last 13 matches to finish out the regular season, Woosters late-season run of momentum came to an end Friday evening for a second-straight season to Hiram College in the semifinals of the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament. The No. 2 seeded Fighting Scots fell in three sets to the No. 3 seeded Terriers 27-25, 25-14, 25-22, and ended their 2008 campaign with an overall record of 20-13, marking the most victories since the 2005 season.

Wooster went on to drop its second match of the day to Heidelberg 27-29, 25-13, 25-15, 25-14.

Scot Volleyball Honored for Work in the ClassroomAugust 06, 2008The College of Wooster's volleyball team was recently recognized as one of 353 high school and college programs to earn a 2007-08 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award. The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, annually honors men's and women's college and high school teams that display excellence in the classroom by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale during the school year.
