Ryan Story, a rising senior at Wooster, was voted on to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Third Team for men’s at-large sports, announced the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Six Wooster men’s lacrosse players were selected All-North Coast Athletic Conference, highlighted by junior midfielder Pat Coyne and sophomore defender Ryan Story earning first-team honors.

Ryan Story and Hillary Darragh, members of The College of Wooster men’s and women’s lacrosse teams, respectively, were named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Team for at-large sports, announced the College Sports Information Directors of America recently.

In a men’s lacrosse defensive struggle, Wooster emerged a 6-4 victor at Swarthmore College. It marked the lowest scoring game Wooster has been involved in since March 16, 2003, when the Fighting Scots took a 7-2 decision at Haverford College.

Tim Lee, a senior midfielder for Wooster, scored a career-high four goals, but Goucher College handed the Fighting Scots their first loss of the 2009 campaign, a 13-9 decision.

Mark Weschler became the fifth player in Wooster men’s lacrosse history to score 100 career goals, accomplishing the feat during a 17-2 thrashing of Trine University.
